I really like FF but have downloaded Chrome and am now playing with it to see if I like it enough to use it as my primary browser. Once I leave that page, however, I must disable Flash again or I'll experience a crash the next time Flash is called upon. Im simply for a loss why I keep getting crash reports so I turn to windows explorer on the same computer and all flash works perfectly never a crash.

The reload will let Flash do its thing and Firefox won't have an APPCRASH. It seems something is wrong with firefox 43.1 and adobe flash 20.0 I have installed the newest of new with all security turned off including firewall. If I find myself on such a page, I can go into tools, enable flash and do a reload. I now keep Flash disabled and use it only when going to a web page that needs it. No one seems to have a good answer to fix this.

There are numerous reports of this problem throughout the Firefox troubleshoot help pages. I'm forced to disable Adobe Flash or Firefox crashes whenever the Flash plug-in is needed. I've followed all recommendations made by Firefox support, changing plug in container settings, changing hang time, nothing helps. I would have never figured that out on my own.ĭoes anyone know the difference between the latest Beta and the latest Debugger Beta? Just curious what happened to make one work and not the other.I have Firefox 3.6.8 and newest version of Flash.

So if anyone else has this problem, like Clefaria wrote, make sure to install the Debugger version. The standard latest Beta of Flash with the same version number doesn't work. Second update: The latest Beta Debugger version, as pointed out above works with FF49.01 so far. I will now see if my hair will grow back. Updated to write I just saw that you may have solved this problem and I will be installing the Beta version you suggested tomorrow. I've been using Firefox since FF0.8Beta I believe but this has me pulling my hair out, especially since now I know I'm not the only one this is happening to. I can't think of a single thing I missed. The only thing I can think of is to completely uninstall Firefox and reinstall FF with all my plugins and extensions but that is a lot of work. I have scanned the internet for the last few days but YOU are the only other person to experience this identical problem. flash works fine but FF48.02 is a security risk so that makes me leery. I even disabled ALL extensions and plugins except for Flash and that didn't work. I did also try in Safe Mode and that did not help. I then went back to FF49.01 and tried disabling the FF49.01 Hardware Acceleration to no avail. I then uninstalled FF49.01 and installed FF50Beta.

After reloading, Flash would crash again. Please complete the form below to report a site that you suspect contains malicious software. Flash would not even let me use the Flash site settings manager to turn of Flash Hardware Acceleration by unticking the check box, Flash would just crash and FF would as to reload the page. Flash still crashed right away on ANY page. I used the Adobe Flash Uninstall Tool, cleared the Flash general cashe in the W7 control panel, then rebooted Windows and installed Flash 23, the latest version.

After installing the FF49.0 32bit exe and rebooting my Windows 7 64bit Asus K54C laptop, my version 22 of Flash started crashing right away on every site. I recently uninstalled Firefox 48.02 32bit and the Maintenance Service and installed FF49.0 32bit. Clefaria, I just joined this board after reading your post.
